The war has led to significant growth of citizens who need social assistance and are in financial hardship.
But neither state financial capacities nor necessary changes to the regulatory framework keep pace with the large-scale financial crisis.
In such a complicated situation Ukrainian people were supported by such international organizations as the World Food Program, the mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Ukraine, the Red Cross Society in Ukraine, UNICEF, the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, and others.
They provide financial aid to different categories of Ukrainian people in need of such help.
But fast and targeted payments would be impossible without appropriate IT solutions.
For these purposes, the web-source https://aid.edopomoga.gov.ua/ was developed by the Ministry of Social Policy. Citizens can apply for aid through it.
But there arose a question of the verification of such applications, as well as a screening of persons, determinations of the right to receive aid according to the criteria established by the international organizations, and direct forming of the list for payment.
And fast task execution has become possible exceptionally due to the Unified Information System of the Social Sphere (UISSS) created in the Ministry of Social Policy, whose developer is Medirent.
On the foundations of the accumulated and implemented UISSS functional core, as well as based on the Unified social register containing verified information of the persons who receive state social assistance in different forms. In the shortest terms, the solution was developed which allows designing a solution that ensures the verification of citizens' requests and determines whether they meet the established criteria, as well as forms the lists for payment of assistance according to the financial capabilities of the international partners.
Therefore, UISSS has proved itself as a multi-purpose system, ready to efficiently meet any new demands in the social protection of our citizens, which is especially critical during the war.
With the help of UISSS, only World Food Program has paid provided assistance to more than 2 million Ukrainians.
