We continue to share insights from the European Social Services Conference 2024 (ESSC).
We participated in the panel discussion "Activating Populations with Barriers to Employment" and visited the innovative zone "Thrive Digital Employment Service" by Deloitte, where we met many extraordinarily talented individuals.
The panel discussion focused on how governments and public employment agencies worldwide can assist people who are not working to re-enter the labor market. The main emphasis was on investing in support for those facing barriers to employment and meeting their specific needs. Effective models from Canada and the United Kingdom were discussed, including:
- meeting the needs of people with complex and multiple needs;
- addressing the needs of people with disabilities;
- the role of digital technologies in activating marginalized populations.
We were pleased to meet Josh Hjartarson, Global Leader for Human Services, Deloitte National Expert Citizen Group, UK. During his speech, Josh shared valuable insights and practices in the field of employment, which became a source of inspiration for us for new ideas and solutions.We had the opportunity to listen to interesting presentations by Jeffrey Doucet, CEO, Thrive Career Wellness, and Alia Kamlani, Global Labour Market Activation Leader, Deloitte. They introduced the Thrive Digital Employment Service, available in many countries and 14 languages. This service offers a comprehensive set of services for job seekers, helping them upskill, find sustainable employment, and explore career paths with higher demand and better pay. Another important aspect is the user-friendly experience for employment counselors and employers.
ESSC 2024 is an incredible experience that inspires new achievements.
