The result of Medirent's project implementation for creation and implementation of the retroconversion system in the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) was the creation of an Automated system for digitizing the pension case archives and storing electronic documents.

This is a specialized solution based on universal retroconversion technology, which is adapted to specific needs of a specific organization and is integrated into its general IT landscape, in particular, is a part of Integrated Complex Information System (ICIS) of the PFU.

In general, the retroconversion system is designed to convert archives of paper documents into electronic form on an industrial scale. In this project an even broader task was set: not only to transfer large paper archives into electronic form, but also to make the transition to paperless technology in all PFU processes ("PaperLess"), ensure effective use of electronic pension files (EPF) when assigning and paying pensions.

System scale

• Number of regional retroconversion centers: 32
• The total number of pension cases that are subject to retroconversion: 9,5 million.
• Digitized pension cases: 4,5 million (47% of the total number)
• Pension cases checked as a result of digitization: 4,1 million (91% of the number of digitized ones)
• The total volume of the database of the Central electronic archive: more than 150 TB.
